Develop, execute, and lead Encore’s capital markets strategy to provide diversified funding for loan originations, including across warehouse facilities, loan sales, and securitizations, and raise and manage institutional debt capital to support origination growth. Oversee liquidity management, interest rate hedging, and funding diversification, and build and manage relationships with warehouse lenders, loan buyers, banks, and structured finance investors. Partner closely with the CEO, Credit, and Finance teams to align capital strategy with origination and portfolio growth.
Duties/Responsibilities Include
- Raise and manage institutional debt capital across warehouse facilities, loan sales, and securitizations
- Lead a Capital Markets team of 2–3 professionals
- Identify, attract, develop, and retain talent, fostering an environment where people consistently deliver on expectations
- Oversee loan pricing models and pricing sign-off for term sheets
- Execute securitizations and structured financing transactions
- Manage relationships with lenders, banks, loan buyers, bond investors, and structured finance investors
- Maintain a strong, external-facing presence
- Oversee loan sales and secondary market execution
- Develop and manage hedging strategies
- Monitor liquidity and funding capacity
- Diversify funding sources and capital partners
- Align internally on portfolio and capital strategy
- Maintain strong relationships with warehouse lenders, institutional loan buyers, investment banks, hedge counterparties, rating agencies, and structured finance investors
- Modest travel, including conferences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10–15+ years in mortgage capital markets with expertise in residential finance and structured finance
- Direct experience negotiating and managing warehouse facilities
- Track record executing securitizations
- Experience managing loan sales and secondary market execution
- Experience managing interest rate risk, hedging strategies, and liquidity planning
- Strong lender and investor relationships
- Structured finance modeling and transaction execution experience
- Strong negotiation expertise
Total Rewards
Expected annual base salary range: $200,000 – $275,000. Actual base salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additional compensation includes eligibility for a discretionary, performance-based annual bonus and Encore’s comprehensive benefits package.

The Senior Controller will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the firm. The position will involve overseeing accounting, financial reporting, valuation, tax compliance, investor reporting and controls. The Senior Controller will partner with leadership to build scalable financial infrastructure to support balance sheet growth and securitization activity.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead real estate credit fund and management company accounting policies
- Manage Accounting Managers, Financial Reporting team, and FP&A Analysts
- Identify, attract, develop, and retain talent, fostering an environment where people consistently deliver on expectations
- Own all accounting and financial reporting, including oversight of the third-party fund administrator
- Own capital activity, including capital calls, distributions, and related waterfall calculations
- Oversee valuation policy and process, including coordination with third-party valuation firms
- Lead audits and coordinate tax work with external advisors, including preparation of investor K-1s
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A
- Support securitization and financing activity through financial reporting and data readiness
- Partner with broader team on investor reporting and addressing ad hoc investor diligence and inquiries
- Ensure GAAP, REIT, and regulatory compliance with strong internal controls and drive achievement of registered investment advisor (RIA) designation
- Partner closely with Capital Markets and the Executive Team
- Work with external auditors, tax advisors, valuation firms, fund administrators, and regulatory advisors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
- 12–15+ years in accounting, including leadership within financial services
- Experience with fund accounting, mortgage finance, or structured credit platforms
- Experience overseeing financial reporting, audits, and internal controls
- Experience managing complex entity structures and consolidations
- Experience with REIT structures or mortgage finance platforms preferred
- Ability to build scalable accounting processes and systems
- Comfort leveraging AI tools to automate workflows and drive operational efficiency

The Relationship Manager plays a critical role in sourcing, securing new clients and fostering the on-going needs and satisfaction of current clients to deliver their financing needs for Single Family Rental portfolios and Built For Rent communities. Duties/Responsibilities Include:
- Identify and source new transactions from potential borrowers and brokers
- Develop marketing materials and help coordinate outreach programs
- Review applications and data tapes
- Work with clients to anticipate and compile underwriting and due diligence items
- Coordinate with underwriting team to perform due diligence activities
- Develop and present credit memos for loan committee approval
- Manage and interpret ongoing pipeline analytics

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Investment Management, Sales or related field

This Underwriting Analyst plays a critical role in our evaluating and approving of loans financing Single Family Rental and Multifamily properties and requires strong detail-orientation, organization and financial modeling skills. Exposure or intern experience in commercial real estate, and ideally multifamily, Build-for-Rent and SFR portfolio properties, a plus.
The primary responsibility is to support our assessment of the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and determine the risk associated with extending credit, as well as the ability to perform complex cash flow analysis and valuation of portfolio of real estate properties.
Duties/Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including origination, credit analysts, capital markets and senior management, to gather and review all necessary information for the underwriting process.
- Due diligence to support draft of comprehensive underwriting memos that clearly outline the findings, risk assessment, and recommendations for each loan application
- Support assessing applicant creditworthiness and ensure all loan requests comply with internal lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Gather and document collection of financial statements, credit reports, and supporting documentation to assist/support making informed and objective decisions regarding loan approvals, rejections, or modifications based on a comprehensive analysis of the borrower’s financial profile.
- Provide support to maintain continuity with borrowers throughout the full lifecycle—from origination through closing.
- Support additional special projects within credit operations and asset management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Exposure/experience in real estate, lending, finance or related field preferred.
- Exposure/ experience in SFR and multi-family loan underwriting, a plus.
- Financial modeling experience in commercial, residential and/or multi-family real estate preferred.
- Working knowledge and understanding of real estate-based lending and underwriting principles and current lending policies and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Keen intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow.

Duties/Responsibilities Include
- Lead and manage team to include Head of Underwriting and Credit Analysts
- Identify, attract, develop, and retain talent, fostering an environment where people consistently deliver on expectations
- Lead the firm’s credit strategy by establishing credit approval framework and credit committee processes
- Manage underwriting processes including screening of origination pipeline, credit approvals and underwriting governance
- Develop portfolio risk management through monitoring of loan and portfolio performance, risk concentration and asset quality
- Partner with Asset Management on loan performance and post-closing matters
- Partner with Capital Markets to align credit with funding and securitization requirements
- Develop portfolio monitoring dashboards and risk reporting frameworks
- Provide oversight of loan closers and underwriting teams
- Serve as a first line of defense on deal quality, screening transactions prior to formal credit committee review
- Partner closely with Capital Markets, Accounting, Asset Management, and Originations
- Maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, borrowers, third-party diligence providers, and competitors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 15–20+ years in mortgage originations, credit risk, or underwriting leadership
- Deep expertise in residential real estate credit underwriting
- Strong experience in portfolio risk analytics and credit performance monitoring
- Leadership experience managing credit and underwriting teams
- Experience with credit committee governance and approval frameworks
- Highly organized, process-oriented approach to decision-making
