About Robert

Robert Cestari has over 30 years of experience across the commercial real estate finance industry, with a career spanning investment banking, private equity, and specialty finance. He has built and scaled multiple institutional lending platforms and has originated more than $1.5 billion in loans in a single year. Robert previously launched Santander’s U.S. commercial real estate finance operation, establishing its warehouse, large-loan, and CMBS SASB platforms and helping position the bank as a top-ten participant in the U.S. CRE capital markets.
Robert began his capital markets career at Nomura Securities, where he ran the firm’s top-ranked CMBS trading desk, and held earlier roles at Apollo Real Estate Advisors and Julien J. Studley. He holds a degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed MBA coursework at Duke University.
